When: 1x Sunday a Month

Your monthly Yoga class dedicated to your handstand practice.

Handstands and inversions are postures that need constant practice and refining. In this monthly handstand class you will have the opportunity to continuously dedicate 1 day a month to refine your handstand practice.

Explore exercises for injury prevention, learn how to develop strength, build trust, and build your confidence towards a regular handstand practice.

We will work on a range of exercises and drills the body needs to go inverted safely as well as be a platform for you to continuously evolve your handstand accuracy, precision and control.

We will be offering advanced handstand variations, different ways to get in and out comfortably and how to effectively work towards your handstand press.

Suitable for those with some yoga experience to advanced practitioners.

  • Feb 9th: Shoulder Flexibility, Mobility & Strength

  • Mar 8th: Handstand Conditioning

  • Apr 5th: Longer Handstand Holds

  • Apr 19th: Improve Balance

  • May 3rd: Handstand Entries &  Flexibility (Front Splits)

  • May 31st: Handstand Line (Alignment)

  • Jun 14th: Straddle Handstand & Flexibility (Middle Splits)

  • Jun 28th: Handstand Shapes, Leg Variations

  • Jul 26h: Shoulder Flexibility, Mobility & Strength

  • Aug 2nd: Handstand JAM

  • Sep 6th: Free Holding Handstand: Improve Balance

  • Oct 18th: Handstand Entries & Flexibility (Front Splits)

  • Nov 1st: Straddle Handstand & Flexibility (Middle Splits)

Yoga Teacher, Handstand Coach

Joao’s passion for arm balances and inverted poses has lead him to develop his own practice with slow movements, concentration and precision. Joao’s classes focus on Peak Pose sequencing, where, through progressive sequences, we prepare the body and mind to achieve those more challenging poses.
